Empowerment & HR Development Policies
Empowerment
MPA applies a stringent BBBEE compliance policy and is proud to be a Level 3 contributor. Woman ownership in the company is 84.12% and MPA has an exceptionally high HDI level of 92.06%. MPA does not implement this policy merely to comply with legislation, but more importantly, the company feels the responsibility and the moral obligation to act on all matters pertaining to economic empowerment. The Company firmly believes that education, more especially additional education, combined with the necessary exposure to real life experience, is the key to an employee’s successful self-growth. The interpretation and implementation of affirmative and human resource development is usually subjective.
HR Development Policies
MPA believes that an action plan should not be created to suit the circumstances, but one’s general attitude to recognise and correct the inequalities that exist within our society should dictate a company’s Human Resource Development Policies. It is from this core belief that MPA has adopted a policy based on the unconditional commitment to the upliftment and development of all previously disadvantage individuals and communities. This commitment extends beyond the daily practice in MPA’s office. Within this social agenda, MPA remains committed to rendering engineering solutions that not only represent excellent engineering practices, but are reflective of innovative thinking geared to satisfy client demands and individual needs beyond the norm.
